Since 1998, Chariots of Fire CIC has been making a real difference from our base in Boreland, near Lockerbie. What began as a small equestrian initiative has grown into a thriving, inclusive community, offering meaningful opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, especially those with disabilities and additional needs.
At Chariots of Fire, we offer a wide range of activities tailored to suit everyone, from individual lessons and ride-outs to competition preparation and participation. Whether riding or carriage driving, our participants can engage at their own pace—enjoying it as a hobby, building their skills, or pursuing competitive goals.
Thanks to our team of experienced coaches and trainers, our specially adapted equipment and our superstar ponies, we’re able to provide safe, welcoming experiences for all. These activities deliver more than just enjoyment—they promote better mental and physical health, boost confidence, foster self-esteem, and create a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
Operating in a rural area with few comparable facilities our equestrian centre is also a vital resource for the local community. The positive impact of our work extends far beyond our participants, strengthening social connections, enhancing cultural opportunities, and contributing to the local economy.
Year after year, the demand for our services grows, and we’re continually inspired by the incredible feedback we receive. To meet this demand and reach even more people, we rely on the generosity of supporters like you. Every donation helps us continue providing these life-changing opportunities. Together, we can ensure that more people experience the joy and benefits of riding and carriage driving.
