We enhance parent and baby bonding and attachment through specialist counselling and infant massage.
To inspire and nurture the human spirit, one baby, one parent and one community at time. We aim to end the cycles of adverse childhood experiences. By facilitating calm, safe space where parent and babies can safely explore their emerging relationship away from external pressures. Supporting parents and babies with counselling and infant massage focusing on the emerging parent infant relationship. Why the community needs us
We help young parents, parents who have fled from abusive relationships, where there has been birth trauma and bereavement. All of these circumstances can seriously impact the ability of parents to be emotionally present for their babies. Babies need their parents to be emotionally available and responsive for their brains, central nervous system and gut to develop normally and to build resilience to stress (much-needed in 21st century!).Our impact on the community
Babies and children who experience what is collectively known as adverse childhood experiences, the circumstances described above, are more likely to have lower educational attainment, drop out of school, have poor coping strategies that lead to alcohol and substance misuse and obesity. We can influence and improve the life chance of the babies we work with, building a better future for them and their children. Ending cycles of adverse childhood experiences.
As a fledgling charity we need volunteers to help us reach more families, and to promote the service so more families can discover us and get the help they need. We need to raise more funds to help us reach across the whole of Dorset.
