Evesham Sea Cadets – “Marathon in a month”
Evesham Sea Cadets volunteers and cadets are planning a fundraising event for the whole of November that will see every member completing a marathon of 26 miles in total over the month.
They will be walking, cycling, scooting, paddling, horse riding, swimming, running and even lawn mowing their way to raise funds for their Sea Cadet Unit.
Follow them on their Facebook page at www.facebook.co.uk/eveshamseacadets

Evesham Sea Cadets is a local charity trying to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun. We are always looking for new cadets and volunteers, so please get in touch to find out more!
We are currently fundraising for some important works to be done on our Unit to enable us to welcome more local children as members. We are fundraising to change our rickety old boat shed with a leaky roof into an outdoor classroom space that will mean we can teach and support an extra 60 young people a month in a safe and socially distanced way.
We are also raising money for a small storage container that will allow us to take our cadets boating all year round. A container would enable us to safely store all our boating equipment that we have fundraised for and bought over the last few years. This simple purchase would mean that we can offer boating training of all kinds, team building and nationally recognised qualifications to over 100 local children and volunteers every year.
We are currently looking for volunteers in a variety of roles and support training is available. No experience in the military required, not everyone wears a uniform, but a positive attitude and a willing commitment to learn is essential.
