Supporting Local Families.
We provide free and confidential support to families who have children from birth to age 13 years and who reside in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. We aim to offer short term emotional and /or practical help to families who are facing difficult times, enabling them to get back on their feet. Services are offered via either one of our 50 motivated volunteers of through the support of one of the team's skilled Family Support Workers.
Why the community needs usFamily Friends welcomes referrals from both families directly and from professionals. We work with a family to address specific challenges that exist for them, helping to alleviate stress.
Our impact on the communityWe are always delighted to talk to anyone who may be interested in volunteering for Family Friends. We are looking for men and women with a caring and enthusiastic nature, who have an ability to empathise with others and who have two hours, plus travel, per week to donate to a family in need of help. We are also actively recruiting volunteers who can support us with fundraising.
