Young People Frome represents young people in Frome and the surrounding area by drawing together agencies, promoting activities and providing information via our website, Frome Active. We also develop and run projects and activities for and with young people.

Many young people feel that they are treated unfairly and are alienated from their community. Young People Frome provide information and support to young people about activities on offer in our community, opportunities to get involved and participate in their community, and develop projects helping to bring local communities together. We aim to put young people at the heart of making things happen and assert that this benefits the wider community.

As a result of the work we do young people are able to participate more in their community: They are more knowledgable about their community and can make a positive contribution; they are more confident and this has a knock on effect in how well they do at school, in education and training. Young People Frome offers apprenticeship opportunities and enhances the local economy and young people are happier and healthier as a result of the information we produce.
