The club has over 90 members ranging from the social player to the Welsh international. The club is based in Penylan, Cardiff but welcomes players from any area.
Pétanque is an easy game to learn and is suitable for all ages; it is also one of the few sports where men and women can compete equally. It is very similar to the game of 'boules' and is played on gravel pistes.
Above all, pétanque is a great game to play at any level. It is also a very sociable game providing many of our members with a good-humoured friendship circle and sense of belonging, as well as important outdoor exercise. We hold well attended sessions four times a week.
Inquisitive members of public are invited to join us during any of our sessions and we can lend the necessary equipment and give coaching and advice to start you off.
We launched a new Juniors Section for 8-17 year olds in April 2024.
