We have a very simple aim to plant as many trees as possible in our local area, and also protect existing trees.
Why the community needs usTrees clean the air of pollution and impurities, absorb carbon and help reduce flooding. They make you happy - even just seeing a tree from a hospital window can help you get better, quicker. Trees (particularly native) support a wide range of wildlife and even increase the value of nearby houses! Fruit trees provide free food with no air miles. We also offer volunteering opportunities to the whole community including disadvantaged groups.
Our impact on the communitySo far we have planted over 3,500 trees. These have been planted in community orchards, public spaces, private gardens and in schools.
We are in constant need of volunteers - to help us plant and look after trees, as well as a wide variety of other activities. These include, but are not limited to, online research, web design/development, copywriting, PR, fundraising - the list goes on!
