Music for the Many

Changing lives by offering free instrumental lessons to children.

Music for the Many was established in 2018 as a positive response to the crisis in music education in England, to remove the social, cultural and financial barriers which prevent most of our children form accessing instrumental tuition.
We provide instrumental lessons to children in schools in Todmorden and surrounding areas, completely free of charge to families.
We also provide instruments for the children to play.
Our team of 6 professional musicians deliver weekly lessons to 130 children, individually, in pairs and in our ground-breaking beginner orchestras on 13 different instruments in 4 primary schools and 1 high school.
We provide opportunities for our children to perform in public, take music exams and work with a wide range of brilliant aritsts.
We also run a series of concerts, where our families can hear world-class performers from a variety of genres in an accessible setting.
