Northamptonshire and Rutland | Education & Training
For nearly 60 years, NMPAT has been at the heart of music making and performing arts education for children and young people throughout the county...
Here at NMPAT, we believe every child and young person in Northamptonshire and Rutland deserves access to opportunity — not just in the classroom, but in life. We exist to make high-quality music and performing arts education for the many, not the few. We work across early years, primary, secondary and special schools, alongside families and communities, to deliver opportunities at scale: instrumental and vocal tuition, whole-class programmes, ensembles, music production, music therapy, and clear progression routes that help young people grow in skill, confidence and belonging.
For many of the young people we work with, music is the one place in their week where they feel confident, seen, and able to shine. For families under pressure, the chance for a child to learn an instrument or be part of an ensemble can be the difference between feeling left out and feeling like they belong. When access is there, we see it ripple outwards — into attendance, wellbeing, friendships and aspiration.
We are also proud to be one of the premier music services and music education hubs in the country, and we are ambitious to expand our reach and diversify into new communities across Northamptonshire and Rutland.
Thank you for your support of NMPAT and for helping to ensure that many more young people continue to be inspired, nurtured and excel.
