Oldham Foodbank aids those in financial crisis with food parcels and support services.
Oldham Foodbank exists to support people in Oldham who are experiencing financial crisis and cannot afford essential food. We provide emergency food parcels to individuals and families who are referred to us by local professionals such as Citizens Advice, the Council, health teams, schools, and community organisations.
Founded as part of the Trussell Trust network, Oldham Foodbank works across the borough to ensure that no one is left without food when times are tough. In the past year alone, we have supported thousands of local people, including many families with children, older adults, and individuals affected by redundancy, benefit delays, illness, or unexpected financial shocks.
Alongside emergency food, we work closely with partners to help people access advice and support around benefits, debt, and wider wellbeing, aiming not just to meet immediate need but to help people move forward with dignity.
We are powered by a small staff team and a large group of committed volunteers, supported by local churches, schools, businesses, and residents. Every donation made goes directly towards helping people in Oldham put food on the table when they need it most.
