A free festival for the people of Sheffield, promoting peace and bringing communities together.
Peace in the Park is an annual festival taking place in Sheffield, promoting peace and understanding by bringing together communities through artistic, musical and vocal expression. Peace in the Park is organised by a group of artists, musicians, students, events organisers and other everyday Sheffield folk, working together in a not for profit collective. Every year the festival raises money for 2 charities, nominated by the people of Sheffield.
Why the community needs usPeace in the Park benefits the community of Sheffield by providing a free, high-quality and meaningful event. This festival is like no other- it is a space where people can enjoy music, art and other creative expressions, celebrate diversity from across the city, and raise money for local and international good causes. It is a safe place for families and individuals, young and old, to gather and enjoy this beautiful city we live in.
Our impact on the communityEach year, around 10,000 people are estimated to gather for the festival in the Ponderosa Park in Sheffield. We also work year round with local community organisations and youth groups looking at building community cohesion, running arts workshops and much more.
Peace in the Park is run entirely by volunteers and we are always keen to recruit more! We need people to: run fundraisers throughout the year, coordinate stages and areas of the festival, and steward/volunteer to make th day run smoothly. Please contact us for more info or come along to one of our fortnightly meetings!
