Peterson's Fund for Children has been in existence for 9 years and through extensive fundraising efforts has provided funding for much needed therapy, bespoke and specialised equipment and often neglected respite care otherwise unavailable on the NHS. The aim of the charity is to help as many local children in need as possible therefore improving their quality of life and offering them opportunities to maximise their individual growth and potential.
Why the community needs usBy providing this assistance, we are able to engage positively in our local community. The children we support all reside in Surrey and through our extensive input into their lives, we are encouraging them and offering them opportunities to get involved in community based activities as well as school events. The majority of our fundraising events take place in Surrey and are therefore helping with our involvement and recognition on the local level.
Our impact on the communityWe have seen the fruits of our labour in children who are now walking and talking and engaging whereas before they were not able to attain these milestones. We are completely convinced that providing the right therapy and equipment at specific windows of time, can have life-changing and barrier-breaking results. The children embraced by our charity are the living proof that assistance, combined with love and determination can lead to amazing lives.
