Enhancing children's lives through baseball and softball

We are a youth outreach sports organisation aiming to increase participation, social inclusion and leadership development among underprivileged young people through baseball and softball across South Wales, UK. We nurture self-confidence, physical fitness, leadership, teamwork, healthy competition, and sportsmanship. We provide young people with a safe environment to develop their values of honesty, fairness and equality, and integrity. We encourage our participants to excel in all aspects to become young leaders in their communities with great emphasis on academic achievement. Our sessions run in various settings: high schools, primary schools, community youth groups with the hope to expand to as many areas across South Wales as possible, engaging communities and building networks while playing a fun game. Our ultimate goal is to build a better future for all our young members to be ambassadors in their communities through promoting health and fitness.

Why the community needs us...
We enable children to achieve their potential in baseball and softball regardless of their socio-economic background or ability, engaging in an activity that is good for them physically and mentally. We provide equipment and high-quality coaches who are trained through our coach development programme. Most of all, we run a very positive session, which has a remarkable impact on their self confidence, motivation and concentration.

Our impact so far ...
We have enabled children to experience days with Major League Baseball, attend high-performance camps, and develop skills they take pride in. Most recently, we have helped four girls get selected for GB squads with the hope to develop more GB participants.

Volunteers needed

RBI Wales is growing and we need your help! We are looking for a Welsh Speaking Web Developer who is willing to help us out to create an accessible, user friendly site. Get in touch if you think it's you! We also need a social media volunteer!
