The aims of Citizens Advice Reading, is to give free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to any member of the community. It provides the advice that people need for the problems that they face and works to improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives by recognising inequality and influencing national and local policy makers.
Why the community needs usCitizens Advice Reading provides advice on an extensive range of generalist subjects including debt, benefits, employment, housing, immigration, relationship, consumer, financial capability and lifestyle matters. In addition, specialist services are available on housing debt and repossession, debt relief orders, level 2 immigration, employment tribunal advocacy,life coaching and benifits advice for cancer sufferers issues.
Our impact on the communityTypically, Citizens Advice Reading deals with over 8,500 local people per year, addressing in excess of 19,000 issues on their behalf. This is achieved through 110 hours of availability per week.
