Safe Families for Children supports families going through tough times. families are referred to us that could use a little extra support whether that's companionship, help with children, or taking the children overnight, so parents/carers can have a break or work through their issues. Parents/carers are in control of the support at all times and can end the support if it is no longer needed. We work with families from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures and with varying levels of need.

We aim to use the people in our communities to reach out and support those in need around them. Nobody needs to be alone and everyone deserves to be offered care and friendship at a time of need or crisis. We encourage and support people to engage and take part in their area and make use of the facilities available to them.

We aim to support around 70 families this year, which means that over 150 children will also helped and have their outcomes in life improved. We get alongside parents to supplement the care they give and increase their confidence as parents and give them hope for a better future for them as individuals and for their children and their children.
