Shamrock FC has always been centred on its work with the local community and especially its outreach work. Our 2 senior men's teams joined the NAFL (Northern Amateur Football League) in 2014 after playing in the Belfast and District Football League since 2006. In 2014 our club established a new female section within our club, the first club ever from Ardoyne/Marrowbone to field a competitive women's team. They currently play in the NIWFA league.
Why the community needs usWe actively engage and seek out 'at risk' young people and vulnerable adults with a view to engaging them in some positive health and community based activity.
Our impact on the communityWe have up to 40 young men training 2 nights a weeks and playing competitive football on Saturday and up to 25 young women training and playing twice a week.
