We provide accessible, enjoyable singing workshops and performance opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Current groups include The Memory Notes, a singing group for people with memory loss challenges and early to mid stage dementia and Singing for Breathing, for people with chronic lung health problems. These projects are led by experienced professional singing leaders supported by paid coordinators and fantastic volunteers.

Why the community needs us
Singing develops and sustains social connection. We aim to remind people that singing is our birthright as human beings and that singing is good for individual and community health and wellbeing. Both groups create a sense of inclusion, building friendships and the joy of sharing music. Singing has proven benefits for health and well being, particularly for those with dementia and experiencing social isolation.

Our impact on the community
We have enabled hundreds of local people in Cambridge of all ages and abilities over the last twenty years to find their singing voices and enjoy sharing the power of song in inclusive social celebrations and events. Many of our participants experience social isolation. Singing together has proven physical and psychological benefits and participants in our workshops tell us how much they benefit from being able to relax, have fun and feel they belong in a creative singing community.
