Tan y Maen are here to offer support and resources to individuals, families, friends, carers and other mental health and support organizations on any aspect of mental health and well-being.
Why the community needs usWe are here to listen and to help. One of the basic aims of the Centre is to encourage self-help and mutual support, to encourage people to grow in confidence and to develop new skills or regain old ones. We also work in partnership with a wide variety of other organizations to provide a range of advice and support. We bring our services into the heart of communities and to isolated or remote rural areas.
Our impact on the communityOur Community Wellbeing Projects and Parabl Talking Therapies service helped over 400 people in the last year to cope with anxiety, depression and to improve self confidence and self esteem. Our community well-being projects extend across South Gwynedd and rural Conwy Borough and include mentoring based support, therapeutic group support (including Mindfulness), informal 1:1 support sessions and social group activities.
We need volunteers to help with all projects we run across North Wales. Full training and supervsion will be given and all out of pocket and travel expenses will be reimbursed
