The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust supports local cancer and leukaemia services to improve cancer care for children receiving treatment across South London, North Kent and East Surrey.
The money we raise supports NHS Paediatric Oncology services and funds a range of projects and initiatives from cutting-edge equipment and transformational technology, ground-breaking research projects, major refurbishments to delivery of play activities and supply of materials, resources, toys and treats and so much more in support of the patients and families themselves.
Local Cancer Support Groups
We fund and facilitate local childhood cancer support groups offering valuable support to oncology children and their families. These thriving groups offer a lifeline for oncology patients and families – opportunities for children and relatives to relax, connect and make happy memories together in safe environments.
We also provide support to families who face the loss of their homes and livelihoods due to the associated hardship when a child is having treatment for Cancer and Leukaemia.
AV 1 No-Isolation Robots – Access to education
We are working with Norwegian innovators No Isolation to bring inspirational and life-changing technology to young patients, families and schools.
This very simple, ingenious technology allows young cancer and leukaemia patients to access their education during and after treatment – virtually attending school, socialising with classmates and remaining connected to their support networks and communities.
Why we need your help now
Cancer and Leukaemia patients are in a very high-risk group as a result of the immunocompromised state they are left in immediately during and after treatment.
In the light of COVID-19 they are more vulnerable than ever.
Support us to ensure they continue receiving the treatment and level of care they need and deserve.
We are so excited to be part of the Localgiving's £1m Coronavirus Match Fund scheme which will double donations across two phases:
Phase 1: Between 10:00am on 27 October 2020 - 09:59 on 3 November 2020 donations will be matched up to £75.
Phase 2: Between 10:00 on 3 November 2020 and 12:00 on 9 November 2020 donations will be matched up to £5,000.
We simply couldn’t deliver on our mission and make the impact we do without the help of our supporters. We hope you will join us and stay with us on the journey ahead!
