for twenty years we have been providing a low cost , accessible, drop-in facility for families in our community here in Slade Green, where hardship is part of family life. We welcome under 5's and their parents and carers to our safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment 5 days a week, where children can access a multitude of play & learn opportunities, including creative & cooking activities, singing, instruments, story & circle time, sensory play and exploration, led by qualified and experienced staff, who support children in their learning, with the objective of achieving the best possible outcomes for each individual child. Our bright, clean, and safe play spaces , indoor and out, promote development in all areas, communication and social skill development being a focus, as well as opportunity for physical play, helping children's well being and mental health - many of these children do not have safe spaces to play, and live in cramped , crowded homes without a garden. We provide free access and participation to other learning such as dance and football, and phonics sessions, in our aim of giving these children a better start in life, and in their learning journey. We bring families together, promoting community cohesion, and support structures among families who are often living far from their own families, many of whom face additional barriers to communication & engagement. we support parents in their parenting role, with a listening ear, kindness & compassion, and refer to other support agencies where necessary. We work with parents to identify and tackle any issues about child development, behaviour, etc, - we track children's progress so we can identify any areas in which children may need extra support, and work with parents to improve their outcomes long term. We are tackling loneliness and isolation, and supporting children and adults mental health and wellbeing through our services, and are so very proud we have made such a difference to so many families and individuals over the years
