Thank you so much for your interest in supporting The Farm to grow healthy food and communities. Over the last 12 years we’ve turned empty fields into a thriving local hub that means so much to so many. Our fields are abundant with food, wildlife and community.

By supporting us, you enable us to open the farm gates to more than 1,500 people every year, as people from all walks of life come to take part in courses and events, and to volunteer their time in different ways.

Some of the groups we welcome regularly to The Farm include Bristol-based refugees and asylum seekers; people suffering with isolation and mental ill health; adults and children from visible ethnic minorities; and local school children.

For many, time spent down on the farm is a lifeline. We love to hear their often-moving feedback, like this comment from someone who attended a recent course for refugees and non-EU migrants with one of our local partner organisations, Groundwork South:

‘I’m so happy to have the chance to come back here again. The smell of the yurt made me happy. Feel like going back to my grandmother’s house. As soon as I step on the farm, I feel happy.” -
Supporting us also means helping us supply organic, nutritious food to frontline food charities who support people experiencing homelessness and mental ill health, as well as families and elderly people at risk of food insecurity.

About us

The Community Farm is a community-owned and supported social enterprise founded by volunteers in 2011. Our purpose is nurturing relationships with the land, food and wildlife through an organic community farm.

We are a nature-friendly, organic farm, working with a network of producers who share our ethics, to supply fresh, local and organic food to hundreds of households throughout Bristol, Bath, the Chew Valley, Frome and Weston-Super-Mare. We aim to grow community as much as we grow food. Every year more than 1,500 people benefit physically and mentally from wellbeing courses, social events and volunteering sessions on our beautiful land.
