'Giving young people aged 11-19 somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.'
Vision provides a free youth drop-in on Wednesday and Thursday evenings offering a range of facilities including a pool table and free internet access all in a safe and youth friendly environment. It is not just a place for young people to hang out and meet friends we also offer numerous training and voluntary opportunities, informal education and projects as well as signpost services with the aim of engaging young people and developing their skills and preventing ASB in the local area.
Why the community needs usYou may be surprised to know that many young people here are from low-income families and suffer low aspirations and often become involved in alcohol and drugs and anti-social behaviour due to lack of services and provision in the area. Vision helps by providing positive activities and the opportunity for young people to be safe, learn and expereince new things by doing so we raise aspirations, reduce perceived ASB and create a positive perception of young people in our community.
