2026 is the 10th year of this amazing endeavour (defined as “a serious, determined effort or undertaking” which sums this up very nicely). To date around £850k has been raised for local and National charities and my second favourite grass roots rugby club, MKRUFC.
For the 10th Anniversary we’re marking the occasion with 12 months of challenges supporting the following great causes.
Willen Hospice Willen Hospice | Compassionate Care for the Community
MNDA /4ED MND Association | Fighting motor neurone disease
C-R-Y Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
and several other local charities.
My first, and without doubt, one of my toughest challenges yet, 2 days on a recce with no beer! Never again.
Next up I have to try and watch some real idiots abseiling off the National Lift Tower, over 400ft high, that won’t be easy for me.
Then it’s Big ROF, 50 “mixed ability” cyclists 2 days, 170 miles, Dunkirk to Ypres then a mad dash back to Dunkirk to catch the ferry home. No pressure!
Then further challenges to follow.
