After the experience and pain gained in the Ring of Fire events over the last 3 years, I have decided to take on the challenge, and pain again for 2026.
This is the 10th year of Ring of Fire and I’ll be taking on the ‘Big ROF’ in May covering nearly 300 miles in Northern France, Belgium and Holland over 4days, visiting historical sites relating to the 2nd world war. For context this includes a Day 1 of 105 miles which will be my furthest mileage in a day to date so bring on the saddle sores.
There is also a smaller “Wheels of Fire” event planned later this year to include children from the rugby club, so Fraser, Ted and I will be cycling together for that.
We do these things to raise money for some great causes which include the following so please consider supporting me in whatever way you are able to:
Willen Hospice – It costs over £10 million each year for Willen Hospice to continue providing their expert, compassionate care. Fundraising is critical to help them support local families when they need it most.
4Ed Campaign – Supporting families affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND), this campaign provides financial assistance and essential resources to improve quality of life for those living with the condition.
Thanks in advance
