Cube Youth has been successfully delivering positive activities for young people since 2016. We have a proven ability to provide activities for young people which promote well-being, encourage self-esteem and develop confidence. We do this through a programme of evening sessions during term time, plus mentoring at a local secondary school.
We offer provision during school holidays that include a variety of workshops and trips, this is predominantly HAF funded to provide food and activities for young people in receipt of Free School Meals. These include activities such as cookery skills days, water sports, canal boat trips, a day at an Environmental Centre, swimming, inflatable theme parks etc. The programme is designed to promote exercise, socialising, wellbeing and building life skills.
We know that many families who are not eligible for the HAF funding are finding things financially very difficult at present. We want to be able to provide low-cost and/or discretionary spaces for young people, who without our support would potentially not be going on any days out this summer due to struggling family budgets. Nobody wants to go back to school in September without having some positive experiences and fun memories to talk about with their peers.
Please help us to ensure that nobody misses out. Thank you.
