Please help us get back to doing what we love doing - creating a show!
Since our triumphant production of "Little Snow White" at the end of last year, a lack of funds has meant we haven't been able to do much this year. We've done a bit of clowning, and we did have a reunion over the summer in our director's glorious Kent garden to sing through some of the amazing songs David Brett has written for our shows over the past 10 years, but no show to work on.
All that could be about to change...
Assuming we can raise some funds, we plan to begin work in October on our very own adaptation of that old favourite by Hans Christian Andersen, "The Emperor's New Clothes".
Our average spend on a production is around £11,000, a proportion of which will in due course be covered by tickets sales, but before we can even get to the ticket-selling stage, we need a nice little nest egg to help us with everyday running costs - rehearsal venue hire, paying our brilliant director, helping our generous volunteers with their out of pocket expenses such as travel - and the occasional cuppa if they work hard.
£2,000 should do it!
Can we make it by our planned first meeting on 15th October? With your help - yes we can!
Thank you so, so much for supporting Pericles Theatre Company.
