On the 4th July I’m taking on Endure 24 at Bramham Park as part of a team to raise money for Sunshine and Smiles in Leeds. Endure 24 is a relay-style endurance event where teams run 8km laps through the day and night over 24 hours, so it should be a fun challenge — and a tough one too.
Normally I set myself a big mountain bike challenge each year, but this time I’ve decided to swap the bike for running shoes and do something a bit different.
This charity means a huge amount to our family. Sunshine and Smiles has supported us since before our son Oliver was born, and we continue to benefit from the fantastic range of services, groups and support they provide. They do an amazing job supporting children with Down syndrome and their families, and this fundraiser is my way of giving something back.
My goal is simple: complete the challenge and raise as much money as possible for a charity that has made a real difference to our lives. Every donation, whatever the size, will help Sunshine and Smiles continue supporting families, creating opportunities, and building a strong and positive community for children with Down syndrome and those around them.
Thank you for supporting this fundraiser — it really does mean a lot.
