Colleagues at First Intuition in Leeds and Sheffield are gearing up to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks next month to raise funds for Turning Lives Around.

A team of 10 colleagues plus six friends and family are already busy preparing, putting in hours of training in anticipation for trekking up and down Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough on September 12.

This is the first time that national accountancy training provider First Intuition has taken on a fundraising challenge of this kind in Yorkshire and Humber. Their Yorkshire study centres in Leeds, Sheffield and Hull adopted Turning Lives Around as one of their charities of the year earlier this year, wanting to support a cause to which their students and colleagues could relate.

“We selected Turning Lives Around as our First Intuition Yorkshire and Humber Charity for 2025 because we strongly connect with the important work they do. Given the age of our team and learners, we understand that homelessness is an issue that can affect anyone, and we’re committed to supporting efforts to address it,” said Abbey Smith, Skills and Development Coach who is coordinating the event.

“It is anticipated that it will take 12-hours of walking to complete all three peaks. Colleagues were given a choice as to how they wanted to get involved in the challenge including undertaking it on a relay-basis or maybe just doing one or two of the peaks, but all have opted to do all three and there’s a real buzz about it.”
