Mavis Dorothy Humphreys was born and bred in Bedminster, Bristol in 1929.  Daughter of Alice and Roy Silverthorn and Sister to Eileen, Roy and Jerry she survived the war years and met our father, John, and they were married on 3/1/1953.  Bob and Andrew came along in the 60's and they all lived happily in Salisbury Road with Eileen and Eddie with their 2 lovely daughters Julie and Tina.

She was also the flower arranger at our Church, St Nathaniel's and an active member of the Church.

Mum showed tremendous strength when she lost the love of her life, John, too soon in 2000.  She obtained solace from the love and support of her family.

We must particularly mention the love and support of our wives, Christine and Julie, as well as her lovely granddaughter, Claire.  We have all amassed many happy memories of her love, laughter and curries over the years.
Mum showed tremendous strength when she lost the love of her life, John, too soon in 2000.  Latterly Mum suffered a stroke which incapacitated her and she spent the last 6 years of her life in the care of the nurses and staff of the Westbury Care Home.  Mum fought to the end and maintained that twinkle in her eye at all times.

Thanks for your support in memory of Mavis, our Mum.  Bob and Andrew x
