I am Francis Dwan, Policy and Scrutiny Advisor at Westminster City Council and I am proud to be running this year’s Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of the Young Westminster Foundation.

Westminster is where I was born and it remains a place to which I feel a strong personal connection, not least of all given I work here every day! So, to help fundraise for the YWF who have such a positive local impact is a real privilege. The YWF help young people across the borough access opportunities, build up their confidence, and help them reach their potential.

As someone who cares deeply about public service and strengthening communities, I wanted to use this challenge as an opportunity to give something back to a borough that has always been part of my story. I hope that every contribution, no matter how small, will help support the Foundation's important work and make a positive difference to the lives of young people in Westminster.
