For the tenth year running, a team of 22 brave KS2 pupils, former pupils, and parents from Christ Church School, Shooters Hill will take on the annual Hever Castle Triathlon, plunging into the very muddy and very chilly lake waters for the swim, before tackling the cycle and run over the undulating castle grounds. All to raise money for the Christ Church Parents and Friends Association – no small feat for our 16 young (and the 6 not-so-young!) athletes!

All funds raised will go directly towards projects that will benefit the whole school community, including:

• Kitting out three new spaces at Christ Church school:

1. The Intervention Room (current cookery room) for classes to use for group work/cookery space/peripatetic music lessons

2. The Nest (beside the year 2 classroom) for wellbeing and pastoral support

3. The newly-built sensory room to support any pupil who requires a quiet/sensory space during the day to help them regulate their emotions

• Enhancing Reception provision by providing new resources for EYFS to encourage creativity, communication, early maths, mark-making, imaginative play and outdoor learning, including building materials, a walk along number line, an outdoor easel, sensory and messy-play equipment and interactive learning resources.

• New high-visibility vests and logoed caps to help identify pupils for events and trips

• Other support PaFA provide to the school with residential trips, leavers and Christmas celebrations, and sports day.
