Preston Lodge Staff Take on EMF Hairy Haggis Relay for PLLF
Staff from Preston Lodge High School are lacing up their trainers to take part in the EMF Hairy Haggis Team Relay on 24 May 2026, raising funds for the Preston Lodge Learning Foundation (PLLF).
Four teams of four will share the challenge of completing the 26.2-mile course, with the marathon distance split into four legs of varying lengths.
Training has been patchy for some (others are training for a full marathon in September!) but the teachers are planning on taking their own advice dished out to senior students at this time of year: a little bit, every day, is less painful than cramming it all in at the end!
Funds raised from the relay will be donated to the Preston Lodge Breakfast Café, ensuring all students start the day ready to learn. Mr Gibbons leads the team of Breakfast Café volunteers — made up of both staff and students — each morning before school, helping make sure everyone has the fuel they need for a successful day.
