💙 Running for a Cause That Means Everything to Us 💙
This year, I’m taking on two half marathons for a charity that is truly close to our hearts – the Bedfordshire Down Syndrome Support Group.
For the second race, I’m even bringing Niall out of retirement – which means we’ll be crossing that finish line together, sore legs, big smiles, and probably a few tears.
BDSSG is a small, volunteer-run charity that receives no government funding, yet for 25 years they’ve been there for children, young people, and adults with Down’s syndrome – and their families – across Bedfordshire.
They provide specialist Speech & Language Therapy, run Early Development Groups, and create social clubs that build friendships, confidence, and lifelong memories. This year marks their 25th birthday, and they’ve set themselves the huge challenge of raising £25,000 to keep making a difference.
Training has been tough – early mornings, aching legs, and miles that feel never-ending – but every step is for the families this group supports, including ours.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to us. Together, we can help BDSSG continue their amazing work.
