Harry's 'Captain Tom 100' balance bike challenge
Harry is again, revving-up his balance bike and heading off for his next challenge, but he's 'upped the ante' this year!
This time and building of the legacy of Captain Tom Moore as part of the CaptainTom100. He is attempting 100 laps of our front drive. I thought he would do this on his new green balance bike- only problem is that Harry is 3. Being 3, Harry has just informed us that he no longer likes the colour green and now hates his new balance bike...so it looks like we're back to the old blue one...!?
All the money raised will support the charity founded in Harry's name- Harry's Hydrocephalus Awareness Trust ( Harry's HAT). Hydrocephalus means 'water on the brain'. It is a life threatening condition of which 1 in every 1000 babies are born with each year (congenital hydrocephalus) . Many more babies and children, however will also go on to develop the condition following accident, illness of injury (acquired hydrocephalus).
The money will be used to help the charity work towards a cure for hydrocephalus- currently for Harry and 1000s of children like him there is no cure, only invasive treatment. Harry's HAT is working to change this.
