Running the Cardiff Half Marathon is a huge personal challenge for me. I’ve never been a runner so even getting to the start line feels like a big step outside my comfort zone. Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to work behind the scenes on the Rainbow Roundabout with Pride Cymru and Principality Building Society, helping to bring that moment of colour, celebration and support to life for runners. Seeing the impact it has had on people year after year has been incredibly powerful, and it’s what inspired me to take part myself.
This time, I won’t just be cheering from the sidelines - I’ll be running through it, experiencing that same energy and support firsthand. I’m doing this to push myself, but also to give back to something that means so much to me.
I’m raising money for Pride Cymru, an organisation I’ve proudly volunteered with for many years and hold very close to my heart. The work they do to support, celebrate and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in Wales is vital, and I’m honoured to play a small part in that.
If you’re able to support, thank you! it truly means a lot!
