For over a year now, I have been working within the Camphill Community and each day I continue to be impressed with the invaluable work done across the organisation to provide young vulnerable adults with life skills to enable them to live fulfilling lives.
A cause particularly close to my heart is the Social Enterprise located in the Murtle Estate, whereby our young people contribute in so many ways to the shop and cafe. From producing soup and fresh bakes in our kitchen workshop to picking and packing fresh produce from our gardens, the skills gained through this enterprise can be used in many environments in the future, providing invaluable opportunities for our young people.
Therefore, I have taken up the challenge to complete all four kiltwalks in 2026 to raise vital funds to expand the food production process within our gardens. I am aiming to raise £1,000 to contribute towards a much needed Drying Facility for our produce and a washing station with counter space, to facilitate the preparation and packing of our organic produce for sale in our Murtle Market Store.
The total distance I will cover over all four walks is 81.7 miles, beginning with the longest route in Glasgow on Sunday 26th April and ending with a walk through the capital city of Edinburgh on Sunday 13th September.
I would appreciate your support in my latest walking challenge and will provide some pictures of each event along with my walking times as they are completed 🤩
Much Thanks and Blessings to You all
Diane ❤️
