Las Chanchas and Friends united

Franco and his cumbia band Las Chanchas are teaming up with the Baobab Centre to fundraise for young unaccompanied refugees. Join us with this fundraiser live until June 8, or in person on June 5 at the Kilburn Bridge Pub (77 Kilburn High Road, NW6 6HY) from 7pm to 3am for a night of tropical vibes and solidarity, with unforgettable lineup featuring Cal Jader, Ritmo del Barrio, Our Latin Thing, and Chico Majara.
All proceeds from the June 5 concert will be donated to the Baobab Centre, a North London–based therapeutic community supporting around 100 young people each year, aged 16–25, who have fled unimaginable circumstances including torture and human rights abuses. Through weekly psychotherapy, practical support, and community activities, the Centre helps young people rebuild their lives, fostering healing, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
A key part of Baobab’s psychosocial program is music. Music workshops and tutoring allow young people to process trauma, express themselves and have fun! Funds raised from this event will go directly toward providing music tutors and instruments.
In a time of increasing hostility toward those seeking refuge, your presence matters. Come dance, donate, and stand in solidarity. Music can change lives.
