Eddie was diagnosed with autism in February 2018.
Like many children with autism and other conditions Eddie often finds social situations difficult and overwhelming.
When being offered a place at mencap we jumped for the chance and have never looked back.
Mencap have allowed Eddie to have a social life in a safe and interactive environment.
Since joining Eddie attends group weekly with children he feels comfortable and safe with.
Eddie has attended arts and crafts sessions, music sessions and has even been taken to trampoline parks and ice cream parlours!
Mencap has allowed Eddie to feel like any other child his age and often experiences we would not be able to afford as a family!
Lily his big sister was diagnosed with autism just a few years ago and started to understand Eddie more and more.
Lily has decided to not only jump to raise money for this amazing charity but for her brother!
Since Lily has been diagnosed with autism hers and Eddie’s relationship has grown from strength to strength.
We are so proud of her being brave enough to do this for charity and ask that people simply give what you can afford!
Every penny will go to continuing Mencap help children feel included and access activities us as parents find difficult.
Thank you for supporting our girl, The Collett family xxxx
