I'm raising money for Carers Leeds by running the Leeds 10k. I'm very passionate about support for unpaid carers because on and off throughout my life I've been one. In my teens I was a young carer, cooking, cleaning and medicating various family members. More recently, me and my brother Ben were caring for Mum full time, which was hard for us all.

The thing is unpaid care for the people we love will comes to us all. We'll all either be carers or the cared-for. This is why I'm so passionate about ensuring people a) realise they might be carers and that b) people get support quickly. In Leeds, Carers Leeds does this incredibly well. It's their 30th anniversary this year and fund raising is a tiny thing I can do.
