Hi, I'm Mark Rogerson, owner of Rogerson's Window Cleaning, proud supporter of The Principle Trust Children's Charity and dad to two amazing girls.
On Saturday 10th October, I'll be taking on one of the UK's toughest endurance events, Lakes in a Day, to raise funds for an incredible cause that helps children and families across Yorkshire.
As a keen fell runner, I'm no stranger to a challenge, but this one will push me further than ever before. The route covers an incredible 50 miles across the Lake District, with a staggering 4,000 metres of ascent. Starting in Caldbeck at the very top of the National Park and finishing in Cartmel at the very bottom, I'll traverse some of the region's most iconic landscapes, including the spectacular Helvellyn Ridge and the western shoreline of Lake Windermere.
It won't be easy, but it will certainly be unforgettable.
I'm taking on this challenge in support of The Principle Trust Children's Charity, which provides free respite holidays for children facing adversity, including poverty, trauma, abuse, serious illness, disabilities and mental health challenges.
For many families, a holiday together is simply not possible. Yet a break away from the pressures of everyday life can have a profound impact, giving families the opportunity to relax, reconnect and create lasting memories together.
The charity's holiday homes in Blackpool, Filey and the Lake District provide a safe and welcoming space where families can enjoy precious time together when they need it most.
As a father, I know how important those moments are. Every child deserves the chance to make happy memories with their family, regardless of the challenges they face.
Please sponsor me if you can. Every donation, no matter the size, will help The Principle Trust continue providing life-changing respite breaks for families across Yorkshire. Thank you
