There are around 30,000 people in Warwickshire who experience sight loss and Warwickshire Viaion Support is the local Charity who provide support and rehab services for the County. Like many local chrarities, WVS relies heavily on it's volunteers and fundraising to carry out the work that they do.
I have been involved with WVS for over 30 years, and they have helped and supported me as a visually impaired person. WVS have a 111 year history of supporting people in Warwickshire with sight loss.
I am currently a Trustee of the Charity and want to do a fundraiser to help support the work that they do. I have always enjoyued walking and a walking challange seems the logical thing to do.
For my own fitness reasons, I have done 1 million steps challenges in the last two autumns. I deci;ded that 5 million in a year would be a challenge, but one I think I will manage.
`
Keep going.
Keep stepping out
Great work Martin, well done. Sorry to read about Wheeler. We have met you before and walked the racecourse track two or maybe even three years back.
Day 210 3,009.194 steps. Another milestone it is so good to see that 'steps to go' figure start with a '1'.
Martyn-John's fundraising page will be accepting donations for another 133 days.
Good luck Martyn we are sure that you will reach your target. We know how much WVS helps support the needs of the visually impaired. Pauline and John Parker.
