The challenge is complete, sadly I only managed two of the three peaks, it's a very challenging route which we rushed around due to delays earlier in the day, I was struggling to catch up after the second break and could feel it was potentially unsafe to proceed so retired at that point, still I am massively proud of what I and the rest of the team achieved and want to thank you all for your support!
More importantly we've smashed my goal and raised a lot of money for an excellent cause!
I do intend to return and complete that 3rd peak in the summer, I will not be defeated!
On May 16th I'll be schlepping my fat arse up not one, not two, but THREE (3!!) peaks in Yorkshire with a bunch of colleagues from Emperor to raise money for a very worthy course: PAPYRUS, a charity focused on young suicide prevention https://www.papyrus-uk.org/.
The challenge will take 12 hours and involves over 1,500 meters of vertical ascent (and I guess descent too) it's not something I'm taking lightly and have undertaken a rigorous training regime, https://www.strava.com/athletes/14423579 it is my intention to complete all three!
