I’m taking on the Paris Virtual Challenge 33 miles (53 km), a journey that symbolically begins at the Arc de Triomphe and finishes at the Eiffel Tower. But for me, this challenge is about far more than the miles or the landmarks.
I’m fundraising for Dementia Services at Age Connects, a cause that holds deep personal value. Through my work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting so many people living with dementia and walking alongside their families during some of the most challenging times of their lives. Every day, I see how vital compassionate, accessible support really is.
This cause is also close to home. My own family’s experience with my dad means this isn’t just work for me it’s personal. I truly believe that because I work within these services, the early signs were noticed sooner, and the support I received made an incredibly difficult time more manageable. That support made a difference not just to my dad, but to all of us as a family.
By taking on this challenge, I hope to give something back to a service that gives so much offering understanding, dignity, and vital help when it’s needed most.
If you’re able to donate or share, you’d be helping Age Connects continue to support people living with dementia and the families who love them. Every step I take is for them and for my dad. 💙
Thank you for your support.
