Me (Rickard) and Neil are taking on the Avenue Verte London to Paris bike ride, cycling over 318km in 3 days.
But we wanted to take on this challenge for a purpose. And we can't think of a better cause than Stripey Stork.
Stripey Stork is a local charity that collects new and pre-loved baby and children's items to distribute to families experiencing hardship in Surrey and Croydon. They also run brilliant campaigns throughout the year, including providing school essentials and Christmas gifts.
I've had the pleasure of volunteering with them through GTI at Christmas time, so I've seen first-hand the joy they bring and how vital their support is for families.
Back in 2021, I also took part in a GTI team cycling challenge for Stripey Stork - so when I signed up for this new adventure, they were the first charity that came to mind.
Here's our itinerary:
Day 1 - Friday 11 July: London to Newhaven (ferry to Dieppe)
Day 2 - Saturday 12 July: Dieppe to Gournay-en-Bray
Day 3 - Sunday 13 July: Gournay-en-Bray to Paris
Please dig deep and help us reach our target - your support will make a huge difference to the families Stripey Stork helps every single day.
Thank you!
