Some weekends disappear in a blur of chores. This won't be one of them.
In May, I'll be heading to the Yorkshire Dales to take on the legendary Yorkshire Three Peaks in 12 hours. It will be tough, but it will also mean something far bigger than the walk itself. We'll be raising money for PAPYRUS, a charity dedicated to preventing young suicide.
Three years ago, my brother Jonathan died by suicide. The impact of losing him has been devastating, not only for me, but for my family and his friends too.
For my Mum, the grief of losing her youngest, the blue eyed boy of the family, was unbearable. She was diagnosed with cancer and very sadly passed away in September 2025. In my heart, I believe the weight of that grief added to her illness.
So this walk is for both of them
For Jonathan.
For Mum.
And for every family living with loss, every person struggling in silence, and every young life that might be saved with the right support.
If you can donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean more than I can say. Your support will help PAPYRUS continue its vital work and make a difference to people and families you may never met, but who need the help more than ever.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us turn grief into something that could help save lives.
