This March I’m walking 161,000 steps to raise money for Single Parents Wales.
It’s nicely fitting as I first became involved with the group through a wellbeing walk they hosted for teenagers struggling with school attendance. My eldest has found them a lifeline since then. To be honest my whole family’s mental health has benefited through their community, judgement free space & incredible staff.
Their youth group Champions for Change has upskilled my eldest children, with co-production of upcoming events & really boosted their confidence. Now my youngest has turned 10 she is so excited to be a part of it we are just so disappointed that due to funding she probably won’t have the same opportunities as her siblings.
Below is the link to an interview my eldest daughter gave on the impact of SPW & how valuable it’s been to her.

Please don’t be put off by the suggested donation, if all my friends contributed a pound that would help me for my target ❤️
