Physique gym are hosting and taking part in a 6 hour Spinathon on the 21st June to raise money for our Rebound facility at The Next Step Trust.

Why is Rebound important?

Rebound Therapy can provide multiple benefits to adults with complex health needs, learning disabilities and Autism. Including the development and improvement of: Strength of limbs, co-ordination, spatial awareness, balance and muscle tone. It can improve stimulation of the digestive system, improve bowel function and internal organ massages achieved by the rhythmic acceleration and deceleration. It also aids relaxation, maintaining eye contact, patience, communication, self-confidence & self-image, independence, freedom of movement and last but not least FUN!

Why do we need this service?

Unfortunately, there aren’t many rebound facilities in the area, most of which are in schools. Unfortunately, the schools in the local area have stopped opening their doors to community groups and as such, we have NO access to rebound, thus we can’t meet the increasing demands of ensuring each of our next steppers has access to the facility.

The grand plan...
In order to continue to meet our primary objective of having ‘happier next steppers’ it is our dream to meet their rebound needs. We are hoping to build our own on-site rebound therapy facility that all our next steppers can access with the trampoline costing £2,720.
We will be fundraising & applying for grants in order to build our own, on site Rebound Therapy facility- this means our next steppers can access rebound on a regular basis, making a difference to their health needs.
