***PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR STUDENT'S TUTOR NAME WITH YOUR DONATION***
TPS Year 7 students have been learning dances for the 2026 Dance-A-Thon Rodeo, which will raise money for 2 very special external causes : The University Hospital Southampton Paediatric Neurosurgeon Department, and Robbie's Rehab, as well as for our school via The Petersfield School Appeal Trust.
The 6-hour Dance-A-Thon will see each class hosting a time slot, to dance non stop under the Studio Canopy, while staff and Year 9 GCSE Dance students will be dancing ALL day.
There will be a PRIZE for the tutor group which raises the most money.
Our chosen specialist charities this year are very close to ours hearts, as they both helped rehabilitate one of our amazing TPS Year 10 students, Izzy G, after she suffered a severe infection resulting in her needing emergency surgery on her brain.
Izzy received amazing care from the team at the University Hospital Southampton, G2 (Paediatrics) Neurosurgery Ward. Without this support her rehabilitation would have been much harder. The ward has a wish list, from which we would like to purchase items so help entertain and enrich the young patients, as well as a much-needed air-conditioning unit.
We will also be supporting Robbie's Rehab, which funds provides specialist rehabilitation professionals such as physiotherapists and clinical psychologists.
See Robbie's Rehab Facebook for more information.
We really hope to smash our fundraising total to support these amazing charities.
Thank you to Izzy and her family for highlighting these amazing charities to us for this year's Dance-A-thon.
