Team SWRC are taking on the Dartmoor in a Day challenge event, hiking and navigating 18.6 miles across open Dartmoor! Our team of 10 consists of Steph Stewart, Codie Pearce, Craig Gilbert, Joe Bracher, Hayden Sharp, Paul Crocker, Rob Clarke, Claire Dexter, Isaac Mathew and Dave Elliott.
We have chosen to raise funds for local charity Dream-A-Way, who are Exeter based and help make dreams come true for children and adults with disabilities or life limiting health conditions. Currently they help nearly 3000 people per year – more than 400 enjoy wonderful days out, over 1200 guests enjoy the beautiful Devon seaside in one of their luxury caravans at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park in Exmouth and more than 100 people each year experience their Dream Holiday.
The charity is a special one as it is run entirely by unpaid volunteers who give their time and services freely - there are no paid staff - ensuring that 99% of donations go direct to the cause.
