On Sunday 25th October, Steve Duncan and a small team of fellow cyclists will take on the Centurion Challenge - a demanding 100km ride around Calderdale to launch and raise funds for the Steve Duncan Fund.
The challenge is especially significant. More than 13 years after completing the epic Land's End to John o' Groats charity ride, Steve is returning to the saddle to celebrate his retirement from Community Foundation for Calderdale and to create a lasting legacy for future generations.
The route has been carefully designed to pass through communities where the Foundation has invested in young people over many years, symbolising the journey that has shaped Steve's career.
The aim is simple: to raise funds that will help young people overcome barriers, build confidence and embrace opportunities they might otherwise never have.
The ride will undoubtedly involve plenty of training, aching legs, sore backsides and good humour - but every mile ridden will help create brighter futures for young people across Calderdale.
If you'd like to support the riders, donate to the Steve Duncan Fund or cheer the team on along the route, we'd love you to join us on the journey.
